What is your name and position with SitesTen?
My name is Ivan Zhekov and I’m the original founder and CEO of SitesTen LLC.
 
Please tell us the year established and brief history of SitesTen?
We actually started back in 2009, helping a couple of individuals and small companies to manage their hosting needs. As the demand for our services increased in 2012 we opened to the public offering web hosting packages through our new at that time website. A year later SitesTen LLC was officially registered in the United States.
 
What do you offer your customers that are unique to your company?
We are full of passion, dedicated to our customers and their needs. That what I believe makes us unique. Still we have long way to walk in order to achieve what we really want and provide even better services.
 
What is the most challenging aspect to offering Web Hosting?
The web hosting market is very dynamic, the customer demand changes each day and you have to be aware how to properly present your services in order to be challenging.
 
What is it that makes SitesTen a competitive company in the Web Hosting market?
The reliable services we provide and the great customer support in addition to quite a good prices.
 
What new features have SitesTen added for its customers in the past year?
We started offering dedicated servers and low quota CDN services. Currently each shared hosting account is able to use limited CDN resources for free. We also began to replace current use of spinning drives with SSD.
 
What would you say is SitesTen #1 asset to its customer base?
Their dedicated staff of professionals ready to help them in each moment.
 
Where do you see SitesTen and the web hosting industry in three years?
It have to be a secret, but I can reveal we have some really unique ideas we’re working on. As I previously mentioned these ideas are energized and driven by our passion to help people so they can easily achieve their tasks. One of the things we’re working on is a new managing portal where the customers shall customize each aspect of their hosting package.
 
How many customers do you currently have?
We don’t have a big customer base, but this helps us to know better our existing customers and their actual needs. Almost all customers we had back in 2009 are still with us.
 
Who are some of your famous clients?
We respect our customer privacy. I’m not able to reveal any of them without an explicit permission.
 
Do you own your own datacenter?
No, we don’t. In order to be flexible we rent our DC space.
 
Where are they located?
We hold servers in North America, and Europe.
 
What kind of backup power do you have?
DC we are using are secured by multiple power suppliers with several uncrossed conductors. Uninterruptable power supplies are used on power outage until emergency power generators takes over.
 
Do you have multiple backbone connections?
Yes, regarding the DC we use.
 
What connections do you have?
All EU servers are connected directly to a worldwide 550 GBit high-speed backbone of, which has direct connections to the most important providers and the largest European IX (Internet Exchange) locations. The US Data Center we utilize offers direct multiple GBit connections to leading bandwidth provider Level 3.
 
Do you offer 24/7 support?
Yes, we’re available 24/7 although we offer support only through our ticketing system. Since our team is small in order to provide the fastest possible reaction time we currently doesn’t offer support over the phone.
 
Do you have technicians present 24/7 or 9-5 M-F?
We have technicians ready to solve customer issues 24/7 through our ticketing system.
 
What is your average turn-around time on a support ticket?
The reaction and resolution times varies depending on the matter of the issues, current load, and server/network status. We aim to provide reaction time under 30 minutes. Most cases are solved almost immediately once the issue is properly identified.
 
Do you charge your clients for support? If so, please explain.
No. In fact we try to help our customers with any kind of help and advices they may need about their hosting service.
